(Jess): "The opening riff was intended to be part of a prog song. I was writing it on my brother's Ibanez that was a total shredder. I posted a video of me playing it on Instagram and Gabriel, who I'd worked with in TV, said we should jam. I had seen Gabe play before and thought he had such a unique sound to all his songs and was very down.
We met up. I brought an acoustic over and played that same riff, and Gabe just came up with the "Never Never Could Say" hook, and all of a sudden the riff became this swinging folk melody!
Gabe told me about this idea he had about releasing a song and video every month, and a year later we had "Full Moon Project"
lyrics
I never never could say no
'Cuz I never never could say no
And there she goes
wonderful
she told a tale that all believed
that all the boys were mystical
a ring in hand down on their knees
And I never never could say no
I never never could say no
Your skin is told
can warm the bones
I'll lie so I can wait a little longer with you
your morning love's got me movin' slow
And I never never could say no
I never never could say no
I never never could say no
Cuz I never never could say no
I know
I know I'll find a way
I know I'll find a way to you
I know I'll find a way through your dreams to you
I know
I know I'll find a way
I know I'll find a way to you
I know I'll find a way through your dreams to you
Now that I've found my way through
I know how to get to you
Now that I've found my way through
I know how to get to you
Hey!
And I never never could say no
I never never could say no
I never never could say no
Cuz I never never could say no
